I have seen Will everytime he's come to atlanta but that was my last time.The "Empress of Soul" is back. Alex Bugnon and Gerald Albright were awesome but my favorite artist rushed through this atlanta show while only singing a sample of a few of his hottest hits. He was the main act and I feel cheated as well. The first two acts had more time to preform than he did. Will Downing was cheated by not having enough time to preform. The show was awesome, one complaint why does Ticketmaster offer a parking pass ($20) for this venue when parking is FREE! Unacceptable! As the "main event" he came on at 9:56 pm and was done at 10:45pm, he was good but not as great as the other acts and his show portion was over way too soon for the main performer. Even the malfunction with the wiring that delayed the show in between acts was OK because MC Griff was a great fill in for that part. Gerald Albright was outstanding! However overall it was still a good concert lineup Lots of stage feedback which took away from the quality of the music. The sound was off Will Downing and Gerald Albright. He did an awesome job engaging the audience and partnering with DJ Dirty to have awesome RB, throwback music mixes played. There were long periods between each set so the MC “Griff” had to keep us entertained. The audience seem to be having a good time. Weather held up and it was a great evening for a concert.
When you only have one job as audio techs, please do it right so that all of us who paid money to see/hear our favorite artists don’t get the short end of the stick. He was rushed, only did a few songs, and abruptly ended the show due to time constraints. This was to the point where the headliner Will Downing only had a few minutes on stage. There were long delays between each artist’s performance while they tried to figure out the wiring (which btw looked like an unorganized mess from my front row view).
